March report – 2020

Zimbabwe government has declared indefinite period of national lockdown to prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Social gatherings including Church gatherings remain banned. It continues to be difficult for us the Christians who are used to worship God together as a faith community. Someone said, “The devil has closed Churches but God has opened many house Churches.” I and my family had a very good time of worshipping our Lord in a quiet nearby hills. It had become our daily routine to read scriptures, give praised to God and earnestly praying for Covid-19 pandemic. It was easy for. us to maintain social distance as a small family. One Church in the neighborhood decided to do it’s Church services in the same hills, unfortunately they were reported to the soldiers who took ambush and them worshipping. It is sad that they were beaten up and ordered to stop their Church services. We (my family) discontinued our devotions when we heard that the Church was beaten up. We do our devotions at the house although it’s not very quiet since we are in a high residential density area..

Let’s continue to faithful cry out to our Creator for protection and healing from Covid-19 pandemic. Our trust and hope lies in Him
