April Report, 2017.
We had the most inspiring Youth Conference as from 23 to 27 April. There as active participation from all the youths in all activities. There was joyous singing and dancing for the Lord. Musical instruments are a great tool in motivating young people. They are also important tools for reaching out villagers to the gathering. We had more people coming in the evenings from the neighborhood. I give all glory to our Lord for deliverance and healing that took place. The pastors were indeed inspired by the Holy Spirit in their preaching and teaching. It gives great joy to see people responding to the Gospel and to God’s power. I conducted Bible Quiz from the book of Esther and Hebrews. The competition was boys versus girls. It was interesting and fun. The boys won. For the past few years the girls were winning. It is always my prayer that young people do not get conformed to the pattern of the world, but to live a spiritual life as citizens of Heaven.
After the Conference, I proceeded to Dongamuse Church for visitation. God had a purpose for me to visit this Church. I had serious dialogue with the pastor. He has serious misunderstanding with his congregation. I pray and hope that my advice will be fruitful in restoring good relationship with his congregation.
When I finished my mission trips I went home where I was able to see and talk to many brothers and relatives. It has been a little while without going home. I was keen to see my cattle too. So early in the morning I went to the kraal. I was so happy to find that two heifers which I bought two years ago had given birth. I have two beautiful female calves. This should also be good news to brother David Winterholler and the Church who donated money to buy heifers for my family and other pastors.
One family member shared a sad story on how some villagers were badly affected after eating hippos. One day several hippos were found dead along the Zambezi River. The villagers hurried skinned them and took the meat for relish. It was surprising that all who ate the meat began to swell either legs or arms or heads. The victims were hurriedly taken to the clinic for treatment. It was discovered that the hippos died of anthrax.
