April report – 2019

April holiday has been very busy for me preparing sermons and conferences. It is the month we resume our conferences. We usually stop our meetings in December to have ample time for working in our fields. It is a pit though that we harvested nothing or harvested very little which will not sustain us until next harvest. We commit everything into God’s hands. We had our first conference commencing from 10th to 13th April where all men gather together to share our personal experiences in our families and in God’s work. I am glad there was active interaction in our discussions. We expect to see renewed intimate relationships with our families and renewed commitment toward God’s work. One other thing I am happy about is the increasing attendance every year. It seems men are realizing the importance of men’s gathering. It is my hope that men will live exemplary life in their communities.
We had Easter holiday as from 19th to 21th at Manjolo 3 Church. Four Churches on the Northern Zone had met together to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hwange Church has been invited although we met several challenges at roadblocks. We had a puncture on our way back. Besides the challenges we encountered, we enjoyed great lessons on the death and resurrection of Jesus which gave us great hope about our future life when the Lord comes back. It was good for me and family to see our family members, relatives and friends in our home area. It was more like a family union party. We were asked, “Do you know this one or do you still remember this one” Some even reminded me of the American Team I led in 2010 to Manjolo 3, namely Jim Fitch Sr, Charlie Eikenberg, Sean, Jerry and Tim Campbell. I was asked, “When are these guys coming back? It was a difficult question for me. I said, “When the Lord wills.” The little or great we do or say to others will be remembered for years and years.
We had Youth conference from 25th to 28th of April at Siachilaba Church. It was a fruitful gathering. The Youths received inspiring lessons from many gifted speakers. We had baptism early Sunday morning before Sunday main service. We had some young men and women rededicating their lives to Christ. We had counselling sessions which kept me busy and sometimes went to bed late. It was good to hear of their challenges and presenting them to God who has every solution to every problem. There was manifestation of a demon in a certain young lady and was casted out in Jesus’ name. We encouraged her to be prayerful and read the Bible daily to maintain her deliverance. There was great singing and dancing for the Lord. Our Youths like singing along with musical instruments. It is a blessing that Hwange Church has been able to purchase musical keyboard last month in Botswana. We are looking forward to purchasing a Mixer when the Lord provides. We already have big speakers.
