2016 August Report
August is one of the busiest months here in Zimbabwe. Nearly all denominational Churches have their annual conferences. We had our August Annual Conference from 25-29 held at Sianzyundu. 25 Churches attended the conference. I was so impressed with the big attendance in spite of economic crisis in Zimbabwe. 848 registered people gathered at the meeting. The contributed food was just unbelievable; 26 goats one ox, 60 x50kg of mealie-meal and dozens and dozens of bread. We were physically well fed.
This conference was one of the most inspired conferences. It was very much edifying, encouraging and strengthening in the Lord. We had 4 speakers from our Mission and 2 guest speakers from Bulawayo. God really spoke through His servants. They were so vibrant. Everyone was so blessed with the life- changing message. We had several people surrendering their lives to Christ. We could not baptize them because of water crisis. One of the converts was my daughter; Chilengwa. She got baptized when we came back from the conference. She is very excited that she is now a new creature in the Lord as her name means.
We had great singing and dancing for the glory of the Lord. We faced a challenge of electricity on Friday. We did not have electricity for the whole day until evening. We didn’t play our musical instruments till evening. The brothers and sisters enjoy singing with instruments. They feel so motivated. We had a few demons being cast out in the mighty name of our Lord.
Dongamuse is one of the villages which is badly affected with drought. Most dams and wells are already dry. The only one reliable borehole has been broken for the past two months. This has affected our water project. I hope it will be fixed quickly and then resume construction and installation of filters. We have already purchased 30 pockets of cements.
