Friends in Christ
We had the most exciting trip Which all of a suddenly turned to a sad one. One of our Church elders had a wedding ceremony on the 14th of December. I was the Acting Marriage Officer. We hired a Mini Bus to Mpati where the ceremony had to be conducted. There was full of joy and excitement in the bus. We were 12 in number. We had just traveled 20 km away from Hwange when we heard a terrible sound. It was a tyre burst. There was a dead silence in the bus before a few women screamed. The bus badly swayed 3 times and fell down. 3 people were critically injured and were hurried to the nearest clinic which was about 400m away from the scene. The rest of us came out safely. We thank the almighty God for protecting us. The Devil was trying to discourage us from doing God’s work. We continued with our trip and had the wedding conducted on the following day.
