December report – 2015

Hi
Attached is my December Report.
I wish you Merry New Year.

December Report, 2015.
Co-workers in Christ
It seems that December is the busiest month of the year here in Zimbabwe. People are so engaged into many activities and preparations for Christmas. Christmas Day made us so busy preparing sermons and drama, buying delicious food and fine clothes. All the brothers and sisters in Christ celebrated Christmas at my house. What an honor for me and the family to host our fellow friends. We contributed together different unique food. We really enjoyed eating peculiar food together as a family of God. The kids acted the birth of Jesus Christ which was really awesome and fun. Also we played gospel music which kept us entertained and in tune with God. One of the elders said in his concluding remarks, “I wish we could celebrate the birth of our Savior every day.”
It is our wet season here although it is still dry in most of the areas. We are supposed to be very busy working very hard in the fields but just because there is little rainfall not much is done. As farmers, we hardly lose hope. We hope it is going to rain and harvest good crops. It is so frustrating that we keep on planting seeds and rot because of inadequate rain. Personally, I have sown for the second time without germinating. It is still a bare ground. Someone found me working in the field and teased me saying, “Pastor, you have a nice ground for airplanes to land and take off.”
Drought has badly affected both wild and domestic animals. Two days ago, I talked to a certain lady who just came from rural area. She told me of Mr. Philemon who is in danger of losing all of his cattle. She said that Philemon had 16 cattle and 14 of them died of a shortage of grass and water. She is so pessimistic that the remaining two will die too because they are too skinny. Well, our Jehovah Jire who lacks nothing will provide us with enough rain at the right time. As apostle Paul said that we are not people of shrinking faith, so we still hope for adequate rain and harvest.
We are also busy preparing for a Happy New Year. We are going to have an All Night Prayer on the 31st December and breaking at dawn on the first of January. I wish you all a successful and prosperous New Year.
