Our Board of Directors for the Mission meet twice a year, that is, in July and December to discuss, evaluate and implement programs. According to our 2018 evaluation of the year, we did very well in all our conferences regardless of economic hardships. It was by God’s grace that we were able to move forward as a Mission. The Mission continues to grow well both spiritual and physical. According to statistics I received on Church attendances they significantly escalated in most Churches. Some Churches did extraordinally well in baptism. We did not do well on Crusades. We were unable to do Crusades for some few challenges which were beyond our control. We hope in 2019 we are going to make significant progress in reaching out lost souls and reviving brothers and sisters in their Churches. Our vision for 2019 is to build a Mission Centre for all our Churches. It will probably take a couple of years to mobilise resources. We will do quite a number of projects as fundraising. My prayer for all believers is to remain united in mind and heart with one purpose.
We had a colourful wedding for Crispen and Glodian on the 15th of December at Binga Rest Camp. The venue was so gorgeous. It was one of the places reserved only for the whites during colonial regime. Everyone was so happy to be at such a well located place where we were able to be viewing the Zambezi River and the Crocodile farm. I was the Acting Marriage Officer who solemnized the wedding after a couple had acquired the marriage certificate from the Magistrate. I thank God that He used me in a mighty way I did not think of in strengthening and restoring dysfunctional marriages through the message I preached. I had many people or couples coming to me to say thank you for the message. It is my prayer that Crispen and Glodian will have a happy and successful marriage as they stay together as a couple.
On our way back to Hwange from the wedding I received a call that my eldest brother was hit by a commuter bus. He survived but sustained serious injuries. The following morning I went to Bulawayo to see him. It was unfortunate that the public doctors are on strike so he was not attended until the following morning when he was taken to the private doctor. He is currently on medication at his house in Bulawayo. I ask you brothers and sisters to pray for his quick recovery.
I wish you all Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year!!
Lastly I want to briefly express my sincere gratitude for your commitment and continued support toward my work in advancing God’s Kingdom in Zimbabwe. It is my prayer that we will continue to be good co-workers in God’s field. I wish you all success, good health and prosperous life.
