Februrary 2013
Friends in Christ There is Preaching Summit every year in February. It is conducted at Zimbabwe Christian College where I did my undergraduate. I attended it for the first time. We had 180 pastors from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. We had 6 guest speakers from the States. It was worthy attending their inspiring lessons. It was good for me to see my college mates once again after 17 years of our graduation. The preachers from the above mentioned countries who graduated from Zimbabwe Christian College were given an opportunity to share their ministry experiences. I was so touched with their challenges. I couldn’t imagine someone becoming a homeless in a foreign land in order to plant a church(es). Also I didn’t know that there are tribes who are still firmly holding onto their rituals and that preaching against them is a serious offence which may cost your life. I realize that there is a great need to pray for our missionaries in different nations. Some missionaries are really at risky. Last week I received a phone call from the Chairperson letting me know that the filter at the clinic got blocked and needs quick maintenance. We are going to empty the filter, blow the pipe and refill the grave and sand. The Lord has blessed us with more funds ($1350) from the Tonga Ministries to purchase 3 filter molds. We hope that 10 molds will be enough for the project. Thank you all for your continued support. I pray for blessings on your families and your ministries. Request: I am kindly requesting $300 for transporting 3 molds from Harare to Siadindi. Blessings Alec.
