February Report, 2017
The Lord has enabled me to do Church visitation as one of my primary focuses of the year. I visited Helemu Church which is in Bulawayo City. It was good for me to be with the Church leadership and have important discussions. I was so impressed of the expansion and growth of the Church. I strongly encouraged them to do evening activities such as prayer meetings and Bible studies. Most of the Church members are workers and therefore doing Church activities during day time would not be ideal for them.
I attended a National Pastors’ Summit which was at Gweru on the 26th February to 3rd of March. We had many inspiring lessons from well gifted pastors. We had discussions on how to expand God’s work to all unreached areas of Zimbabwe, entrepreneurship and how to help each other as national pastors of the same body. It was good for me to see and talk to my old friends I graduated with at Zimbabwe Christian College. We had good time sharing our experiences in the ministry and praying for each other.
We are continuing to receive a down pour of rain countrywide. At one time when I was watching TV a weather forecast presenter said they recorded 200mm of rainfall. He commented that we have not received such rainfall for the past hundred years. We had cyclone Dineo which badly affected many lives and infrastructure in Zimbabwe. In some areas some people who have been affected by floods have been evacuated by helicopters to safe places. Also it has been reported that seven bridges nationwide have been swept away by floods. We don’t know for sure yet whether we are going to have bumper harvest or poor harvest because of too much rain. One thing I am certain of is that this year we are going to have enough water for people and animals.
