July newsletter 2015
July Report, 2015.
Dear Co-workers in Christ’s Kingdom
Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..” Matt 28:19-20.
One of our goals this year is take Christ’s gospel among the unreached villages. We have been praying and listening to God’s guidance where we would plant Churches. We received a couple of requests for Church planting in Jambezi and Binga Districts. Therefore, on the 23rd to 26th of July we had Church planting in Jambezi. Currently, we have one Church in Jambezi. We evangelized Mununa Village which is part of Jambezi District. Our Church planting was a successful one. We divided our group into three evangelism groups. Every morning they went into the village witnessing Christ and inviting people to our evening Services. The groups had awesome experience witnessing Christ to Christians and non-Christians. The Holy Spirit used these groups in a mighty way; preaching, praying, counseling and sharing their personal testimonies. We had inspiring evening services. There was great singing and dancing for the Lord. 11 households and 2 youths surrendered their lives to Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. That was a good start for a new Church. The Hwange Church will closely assist this newly established Church for her spiritual maturity. We are looking forward to establishing another Church at Chisamba in either September or October. I hope God will help us to achieve our goal.
Food Project
There has been little rainfall in the Southern countries of Africa. Zimbabwe is one of the worst affected countries. Both Commercial farmers and subsistence farmers harvested very little crops. In some areas particularly in Binga harvested nothing. As I was traveling from Binga this week, I saw the World Vision distributing food to the villagers in Gurambira and at Cross Dete. I guess these are the most severely affected areas. It is unusual for organizations to assist people with drought relief as early as July. This shows the severity of drought this year. I hope more organizations will begin helping people with food. The God who takes care for sparrows will surely take care of His own people.
