Our Government allowed gatherings of not more than 50 people, and Churches are not exceptional. It has become our tradition that our Youths should hold a regional conference once a year. In our compliance to the Government’s declaration of limited attandence in gatherings, we decided to conduct our Youth conferences in their Zonal areas. The first conference was conducted at Manjolo zone as from 4 to 8 June. We had 44 youths, 3 teachers and 3 great cooks. The conference was full of joy where one could really feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. They ( youths) actively participated in singing, dancing, discussions and Bible quiz. The teachers did great work of teaching and to those who embraced the lessons will surely be great citizens of Zimbabwe and of the Kingdom of Heaven. The Lord provided enough food which was well prepared and served by great cooks.
There was also Women’s conference on the 10th to 14th of June at Siachilaba Church. All women from different zones came together at Siachilaba. The attendance was overwhelming. For the past few years women have proven to be better conference organizers . They always have plenty of food and leftovers. Their activities are well managed. It is so encouraging and exciting to see potential preachers and teachers emerging among themselves. I was listening to some of their audios. I was so blessed and I kept on saying, “Amen! Amen!” as I listened to them. A few male pastors are invited to be their security guards and casting out demons. Sometimes the locals are attempted to disturb women, and thus male’s protection becomes essential. I hope women will continue to shine in their families, Churches and communities at large.
We were supposed to hold another Zonal Youth Conference at Mabobolo on the 17th to 21th June but we postponed it until further notice following the Government’s pronouncement of banning all gatherings in including Churches. We pray Covid 19 will come to pass as more people are receiving vaccination against the pandemic.
