March newsletter 2014
Hi Friends in Christ
I had special invitation from Dongamuse Church on the 22nd of March to Officially Open the Church. This is the first Church among our Churches to raise Church building despite of economic hardship in Zimbabwe. I encouraged neighboring Churches to be united and be of the same mind and purpose in the Lord, then great things can be accomplished.
There was a lot of fun on this celebration. It was interesting to see how different people expressed their joy through singing and dancing with different styles. After the celebration on Saturday, I was asked to stay for Sunday Service. The Church blessed me with chickens and many crops from the fields which I could hardly carry. They organized an ox-cart to take me and the gifts to the bus stop. It was fun to be in that remote mode of transport.
We had our annual Men’s Fellowship Retreat on the 27th to 30th of March at Manjolo Church in Binga. We had great and inspiring discussions on Church Discipline, Christian Fellowship, and Musical Instruments in the Church. I always like to make some discussions in my lessons because I learn and value other people’s views or ideas. It was unfortunate that this year our attendance was less as compared to previous years. Some people were unable to make food contribution because of drought. We hope God will bless us with good harvest this year.
