May Report
I have been to Siachilaba in Binga where I had lessons and discussions with all the pastors and their wives. On our first day before lessons we commit ourselves to prayer and fasting. We have found it to be very important as leaders to come together and uplift our voices to our Father. It is always amazing to experience intimate relationship with our Lord. One of our prayers was to be united as pastors in everything we do. It is not easy to run over 30 Churches. I strongly believe that if we have one heart, one spirit and purpose we will successfully achieve our goals in the ministry. We had great lessons and discussions for the next three days. As leaders, we were open enough to share our failures, weaknesses, strengths and challenges in God’s field. We had good time praying for one another and to solely depend upon God’s guidance and power as we humbly serve our Lord.

It is Winter here and is beginning to be cold. We are not expecting snow. When we were at leadership seminar, we honored pastors’ wives to use Church building for sleeping and men slept on open ground. It was very cold in the morning and evenings, but hot during day time. Every night we heard hyenas crying for prey. I was personally uncomfortable because of the stories I heard that hyenas attack people in the darkness. Generally hyenas are coward. Heifers and goats are being attacked nearly every day in that community.
The day I went to the meeting, I decided to travel by my truck. I knew the vehicle license had expired and I would run into trouble at road blocks during day time, so I decided to travel at night. I was successful. On my way back, I left at 5pm hoping that police officers had dismissed on the road. I drove so freely. Unexpectedly, I saw a policeman standing in the middle of the road stopping me. I started sweating and shivering because I was quite aware of my offenses. The two of us in front were not putting on safety belts and the vehicle license had expired. I was charged $30 but I negotiated with them and finally paid $20. Anyway, this is a normal game in Zimbabwe.

I promised you that we would resume our water project in May, but we are a little bit behind in preparations. We are still making some contributions to buy food. We need food as we do hard work. I will buy mealie-meal and the group will provide goats for relish. We will be ready by early June. I am quite sure everything will be in place. Secondly I still need to buy 8mm hose pipe in Harare. We can not mold filters without hose pipe.
