Friends in Christ
We had our annual conference from 22nd to 25th of August for all of or Churches in Binga.The conference was split into two zones, ie Binga South and Binga North. I attended the Binga South conference. About 250 people attended this conference. I was so much blessed by many different preachers, but a blind preacher was an outstanding one. For the past several years,Robert was not given the opportunity to to preach at such big conferences. I was so much amazed at how he memorized his long sermons and many verses. His sermons were so inspiring and touched many souls. I came to realize that God does not, indeed, look at the appearance of a person but a person’s heart.
Water Project
I spent most of Augustin rural area, that is, in Siadindi molding filters. I and the group worked tirelessly collecting river sand, gravel and water by either truck or head. Working on concrete is not an easy job especially for grown up people, but I was surprised at their commitment. I was impressed by a Village Head who is in his late seventies when he was given honor to sit down and relax while the young people worked, he refused the honor and said, “I must lead by example.” It is true that leaders , whether secular or spiritual should lead people by example.
We are so thankful that we now have five filter molds and that means we mold five filters a day. Our goal is to mold as many as possible filters before rainy season. I am begging for financial assistance to purchase the following materials:
a) 20 pockets of cement @ $14 each = $280.
b) 60m hose pipe = $210.
c) 40 diffuser plates = $80
