September 2012 newsletter

For the past several months I had focused my ministry in Binga district where I have many churches. Last weekend on the 28th to 30th of September I crossed the borders of Binga to Jambezi district. The church had been planted by John Sandu and is now ministered by a local pastor Stephen Moyo.Nambia is a native language in Jambezi, so I expected someone to interpret Tonga into Nambia, but to my surprise all of them well understood and eloquently spoke Tonga. One other thing that fascinated me was seeing many palm trees which I only read about in the Bible. I even tasted the fruits and were so yummy!!

The church consists of elderly people and most of the women are widows. They really love the Lord and are very committed to God’s work. They expressed the need for the clothes. When they said their need I remembered a certain family in the USA which had put a nice sweater in the garbage can. I said to myself, “If only I had taken that sweater it could keep one of them warm”. I would highly appreciate if there would be anyone interested in helping these poor widows with used clothes.

The service was so inspiring and people were so receptive to God’s word. Jambezi has a small unique stream which hardly dries out and that’s where we conducted our baptism. On our way back to Hwange we had a tyre burst. We had about 15 people in a pick-up. I am sure the tyre bursted because of the load and intense heat. There are many accidents occurring on the roads most probably because of the drivers’ carelessness.

Two filter moulds have been ordered at US$ 900.00 and are still being made. I am eagerly waiting for their completion and to transport them to Siadindi before people get busy working in their fields.

Thank you once more for your continued support. I always appreciate your encouragement.

Blessings

Alec.
