Friends in Christ
I had a special invitation from Lawrence and Faustina to their wedding ceremony on the 21st of September. Indeed, this was a great day full of joy. Women spread cloth on the way as the Groom and Bride came to the stage. There was a lot of whistling, ululating, singing and dancing. That made me to visualize or imagine the Lord’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem where people spread cloth, branches and shouting, “Hossana.”
Food Project.
I had a personal trip on the 13th of September to Manjolo (home area) to slaughter my old ox. I had an opportunity to visit Manjolo High School where I saw students carrying large boxes. I was curious to know where those boxes were coming from and what was inside. I was told a certain organization was delivering food to schools. They deliver mealie-meal, beans and cooking oil. Hunger is becoming a big threat to both people and animals. There are a few cases I heard where cattle are dying because of a shortage of grass and water. I give glory to God for IDES’ continuation to feed my hungry Churches. I and John delivered food to some Churches on the 8th and 9th of October before I went to Bulawayo for counseling from the 10th to13th of the same month. I pray that the government will take some initiatives to launch feeding schemes in many villages.
Water Project
Rejoice with me, the Lord provided all the funds I requested. I am so thankful for your support and pray that God will not overlook your kindness and generosity. My group will continue to mold filters. I am sure some of you may be interested in knowing how many filters have been molded so far. I am sure I will be able to announce the number once we finish all the pockets of cement by the end of October or mid November.
Crusade
We had an amazing crusade on the 26th to 29th of September at Manseme. This was the only crusade on a Sunday with a bigger attendance of 264 people. We had a couple of hundred people coming at the evenings. It seemed our Church in that area has good relationship with other denominations because of many people from different Churches attending the crusade. 3 brothers from Zion Church were converted and baptized. Many Christians were revived in spirit and were ready to soar like an eagle in their spiritual journey. Many people who needed physical healing suffered from severe headache and stomach pains. I wondered whether the cause was malaria or unsafe water. I am glad that most of them were set free in the name of our Lord. This crusade was unique because we did not pray for anyone with a demon. Also we did not have musical instruments, but the worship service was great !
