Co-workers in Christ’s Kingdom
Dongamuse Church is one of the largest churches in our Mission. Early this year in January, the Church and its leadership had an Annual General Meeting to evaluate Church progress. They found out that some of the programs and activities were gradually deteriorating. They concluded that it was, indeed, necessary to have Church Revival. On 10-13 September there was a Revival where gifted speakers were invited to speak on Leadership, Program implementation, Giving and a few others. The lessons and discussions were so inspiring and motivating. In our discussions we saw a great need for strong leadership in Churches. We believe strong leadership builds strong Churches. If leadership lacks vision or focus the Church will likely loose direction. All in all I saw the Church being revived because of their great testimonies.
The School holiday is over and the kids are back to schools. We had wonderful time with all our kids at home during School-break. Obey seemed to be the happiest child in the family to have his brother and sister back at home. They had great time playing together and sharing their school experiences. Obey was very excited to show his brother and sister his School Report Book and that he took position One for the first time. Timothy has been very busy with school studies. He will be writing his first national examination paper in October. He is very optimistic that he is going to do well.
Chilengwa did well in all her classes. There was Zimbabwe National Youth Games in Mutare from 15-23 August. Chilengwa was one of the two girls from School who was chosen to participate the National Games. She won several T-shits and caps. Finally they had a trip to Mozambique where they saw a very big grave where several tribal group was killed and buried during Liberation Struggle. The site has become a tourism attraction. Besides, it was awesome and fun to be in Mozambique for the first time.
