June-July report – 2016

Hi
I have attached June and July Reports. I am sorry for delaying to send you June report because of much commitments.

2016 June – July Report.
I was so commited to Dongamuse Biosand Project in June. I had to make sure that all the necessary tools and materials for filter installation were available. We constructed 4 good seives for seiving sand. I strictly advised the Group to safely store them. We do not want to lose them. Also we needed river sand and gravel.I am so thankful that brother John was so helpful in driving the truck. He made 7 loads of sand and gravel. The Group was very co-operative and I pray that this spirit of unity will continue for the sustainability of the project. We seived gravel and sand to get the recommended sizes of stones and sand. Washing the gravel and sand was a little bit laborious. They were to be thoroughly washed before drying them. When the gravel and sand were dry, we installed two filters as an experiment. It was a very successful experiment. We obtained the recommended measurement for standing water and correct flow rate of water just as I taught the Group. It was so impressive to see the dirt water getting clearer and clearer. The Group developed great confidendence in the efficiency of Biosand filters. I transported all the filters to the beneficiaries’ homes and installed them there. 27 filters were successfully installed. Among the beneficiaries are; the Chief, the Councilor, the Clinic and the School. I am so happy that 27 filters are providing safe and clean water to 27 households.
Church Revival
The first Revival of this year was held at Junamina Church in July. I last went to Junamina Church in 1989 when we had our August Annual Conference with the late missionary John N. Hoyt. It was my pleasure to be back once again after 27 years. The Crusade/Revival was, indeed, spirit-led. We had great lessons from many spiritually gifted preachers. The Church really felt revived as witnessed by their testimonies and thanksgiving. Two people surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ and were baptized. We had many people coming for counseling and prayer. The devil is bringing a lot of confusion into people’s relationships and lives. It is so pathetic to see how some people are struggling with family curses. After the dialogue with the counselees, we had good time praying together for the Lord to intervene into all situations. We had many testimonies from last year’s counseling. One lady testified that she was told by the doctor that she would never have a child in her life. She was greatly troubled to know that she was barren. After attending counseling and prayer last year at Jambezi Crusade she became pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl. She showed us her cute baby. She came to believe that what is impossible with man (doctor) is possible with God.
